Experiencing Color Blindness Using VR (Virtual Reality):Medical University's School Festival (19th Kiyo Festival)

At the Wakayama Medical University Festival in 2024, we planned and implemented a VR (Virtual Reality) experience that simulated color blindness for 29 visitors. As a result, changes in how people interacted with color-blind individuals before and after watching the VR video became evident, confirming the usefulness of VR educational materials. While literature and software that allow users to experience and understand how color-blind individuals perceive colors on computer or iPad screens (such as color simulators) are important, visually intuitive VR videos were more effective in this context.
