Abstract

[Objective] This study aims to clarify the process of promoting health management and the role of occupational health nurses to provide insights for future corporate initiatives.

[Methods] A qualitative descriptive study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with seven occupational health nurses involved in health management.

[Results] The process and involvement of occupational health nurses were categorized into three themes: [Understanding the Background], [Preparation for Planning], and [Implementation and Adaptation].

[Discussion] Occupational health nurses first assessed the reasons for initiating health management, corporate culture, and financial status to align their efforts with company policies ([Understanding the Background], [Preparation for Planning]). In [Implementation and Adaptation], they promoted health management through various strategies, ensuring employees understood its value. They also developed approaches for companies and personnel to engage in health management proactively and sustainably.
