The 2019 Japan InterHigh School Sports Meet – Report on Conditioning and Care Volunteer Activities in the Prefectural Tournament and Western District Preliminary Heats

To learn the conditioning and care methods of sports athletes, we are involved in the launch of a Sport Medical Care Club. We have performed conditioning and care volunteer activities at the Prefectural High School Sports Meet and Western District Preliminary Heats, and here we have also summarized the attributes and tendencies of the athletes for whom we provided conditioning and care at each tournament. There were 311 players who performed conditioning and care in the two competitions, of which 146 were the most shortdistance players. In addition, the breakdown of the main parts complaining of malfunctions was the back of the thigh, the back of the lower leg, the waist, and the front of the thigh regardless of the competition event. It is necessary for students participating in volunteer activities based on the knowledge
obtained this time to understand the characteristics of athletics, and to acquire knowledge about the obstacles and trauma that occur in each competition, as well as conditioning and care techniques.
