The goal of this research is, by focusing on midwives and special needs teachers, to investigate the practice of awareness and support for pregnant teens, to highlight the characteristics of both professional groups’awareness and support of young pregnant women, and to consider the forms of support for the future. The subjects for this study were 200 midwives who have been involved in the pregnant teens’deliveries, and 200 special needs teachers for a total of 400 subjects. The methods of investigation were a structured questionnaire with a four-item multiple choice format in nine sections on the content of support, and an open written section in which respondents who were directly involved in supporting these mothers detailed their frustrations and feelings about helping young pregnant mothers. The results showed that there was not a significant difference between midwives and special needs teachers, but when individual factors, such as with the responses con-cerning“support in the form of school counseling,”were examined, special needs teachers’awareness was significantly greater. Similarly, with the “Delivery and child raising counseling”section, midwives showed a greater awareness than special needs teachers.
